A Woman’s Place – Right here 2017.

A 3 day performance, storytelling and workshop event that celebrated the stories of women living on the Mornington peninsula. The stories of women of all ages, were gathered and a in a morning tea story sharing event, then performed in a verbatim theatre piece by professional actors, community members and Dreamhouse ensemble. The event was a collaboration with the Peninsula Writers Club and other community groups. It coincided with International Women’s Day 2017. Right Here was a scripted performance based on stories that had been gathered the year before at the inaugural A Woman’s Place festival.
